Childhood and migration
Le was born in Vietnam and arrived in Australia as a young refugee with her mother, grandmother and sister. She grew up in Footscray in Melbourne’s west. The National Portrait Gallery and Australian of the Year accounts describe her family’s resettlement.
Community recognition
