Objective and Overview
CLW’s ‘Sustaining
Women’s Empowerment in Communities and Organisations’
(SWECO)
Award aims to honour male and female individuals and groups who have developed a
sustainable
initiative to empower
women in a community or organisation.
Australian men and women are invited to submit a SWECO Application to describe initiatives for economic and social empowerment of women in Australian communities and organisations.
Commercial Sponsorship for the Award will be primarily
used to fund the prize for the winners.
The allocation of prize money can be re-configured
by the judges, if the categories cannot be fulfilled due to insufficient number
of applicants qualifying for the categories stipulated for that year.
Applications
CRITERIA
SWECO Applications
will be evaluated by the Judges according to the following criteria:

Leadership
- Sustainability
- Impact on women’s empowerment
-
Capacity
- Measurable and/or Non-Measurable results
AWARD
There will be 4
rankings for the Awardees:
One First place
or Gold Winner;
One Second place
or Silver Winner;
One Third place
or Bronze Winner
PRIZES
Each Awardee will be issued a Certificate and prize money by post on 8 March 2012, International Women’s Day.
The distribution of prize money will be:

Gold: $2000

Silver: $1500
-
Bronze: $700
-
2 Highly commended: $400 each
The
media will also be informed about the awardees and their projects.
