Professional Contributors to CLW Project

Empowering other women through your Expertise

The Australian Centre for Leadership for Women (CLW) is commencing a new project entitled, Professional Contributors to CLW. The Program is aimed at inviting  women who are at the leading edge of their professions to share their expertise through CLW to empower women nationally in leadership.  Dr Diann Rodgers-Healey will be joined by Pauline O'Loughlin, Program Manager at the University of Technology, Sydney’s community program: Shopfront.

Pauline O'LoughlinPauline O'Loughlin is responsible for the overall activities and administration of the Shopfront and the program's research directions. She also manages international partnerships and collaborations with programs in Europe, South East Asia and the US, and manages the e-journal, Gateways: International Journal of Community Research and Engagement. As the founding manager, Pauline has managed and contributed to a large number of community-based projects since Shopfront began in 1996, involving students, academics and community organisations across a broad range of disciplines. Pauline was an inaugural member of the NSW Premier's Department Community Builders Reference Group, acts as the UTS representative to the Australian Consortium on High Education, Community Engagement and Social Responsibility and is a member of the European Union of Science Shops.

CLW is inviting women to run an online program for women that is linked to their area of expertise. Authors of the program will be acknowledged as a Professional Contributor to CLW and their photo and profile will be featured with their program. Women can also run a program as a team. As such, each member's photo and profile will be featured with the program as Professional Contributors to CLW.   Women can run their Program as an individual or as a representative of their workplace or association.

We would like to invite YOU to consider being a Professional Contributor to CLW.  In terms of program design, programs that aim to empower women in the workplace, community, and in their personal lives can be run as a content based program that is offered in sequential sessions. Information along with reflective questions at the end which aim to develop knowledge, skills and direction can be a format of the program. Other formats will also be considered, but it is essential that it can be implemented with freely available resources that can be adopted from the internet.   Your program will be featured at CLW for an indefinite period and will be protected by CLW's copyright which is stated for all of CLW's publications. As such the program will not be available for copying or distribution by any other outlet.  It will be freely accessible by all only through CLW.

As CLW is well recognised nationally in the landscape of women and leadership in the public, corporate and NGO channels through a decade of activities and awards, your participation in this project will add to your public and professional profile, in addition to you being recognised for your empowerment of women.

If you would like to apply to be considered, please complete the
Professional Contributor’s Form which will assist in explaining the aims, scope and operation of your program. You will be contacted further to discuss it as a first step to its implementation.   At the end of the Form, you will find the terms and conditions of this initiative as discussed in this letter. Please email me should you wish to discuss this initiative further.

We look forward to your special involvement in CLW to achieve professional and public recognition for your expertise and your effort in empowering women nationally, to enable women to develop their leadership potential in their lives and to enable CLW to become an even stronger force of empowerment for women nationally.

Through your participation in this initiative, CLW will be moving ahead in its adoption of a community model of leadership development for women on a national scale.

Kind regards
