Specific Objectives of the Centre

 

To promote equality and parity for women.

To enable women to identify their strengths and weaknesses and formulate strategies for utilising their strengths and overcoming their weaknesses, thus becoming confident and motivated individuals who are conscious about self-empowerment, their vision and how to achieve it  

To assist women to pursue their leadership aspirations in whichever context they choose, be it in their work, community, political or personal life

To give women the opportunity on-line, to learn from high profile women  and men who have been successful in achieving their goals in various professional and non-professional roles

To enhance women's awareness of global issues that affect women and the strategies that are in place and that are needed to resolve these issues.

To give women the opportunity to become aware of global leading issues and the individuals who are involved in them in a leadership capacity.

To enhance women's theoretical understanding of leadership.

To give women the opportunity to network on-line with other women on a professional and social basis thus creating a virtual community of women providing support and expertise to each other

To provide opportunities on-line for education and training for women in the areas of leadership, empowerment and self-management

To promote relevant training and education that is offered by reputable institutions and associations.

To act as a source of information for government bodies in relation to the status and needs of women

To identify unmet areas of need for women wanting to become leaders and act as a source of information for government bodies wishing to address these needs.

To develop strategies to address these unmet needs through the on-line Centre.  

To promote grants that women may wish to access to raise funds for special projects.
