Diann Rodgers-Healey

As an independent researcher, analyst and consultant, Dr Diann Rodgers-Healey combines research skills with an in-depth knowledge of women’s leadership and workplace issues to provide strategic insights for organisations, individuals and policy developers on leadership and women’s empowerment. Her approach has guided transformations for learning organizations. Specific areas of focus include  leadership development through coaching and mentoring; organisational development to advance women and strategic facilitation.

Diann has held leadership positions in business and in the educational sector in London and in Australia. She has interviewed many national and international female and male leaders about their leadership journey and the barriers they have overcome. In 1999 Diann produced and hosted a radio program entitled "Women as Leaders." The program featured interviews with nine prominent Australian women: Shirley and Natasha Stott Despoja, Robyn Henderson, Jocelynne Scutt, Leonie Kramer, Leonie Still, Pat O'Shane, Dale Spender and Maxine McKew.

The Australian virtual Centre for Leadership for Women (CLW) was founded by Diann in 2000 to explore women's leadership and raise consciousness about women's issues.  With a vision to empower women to understand and question leadership theory and practice and enable them to develop their own style of   leadership, in 2001 CLW was short-listed for the Australian Award for Excellence in Educational Publishing and in 2002 it was selected to be archived in the National Library of Australia.

National Research projects have included an audit of women's leadership in the Victorian and Federal Police Force, Women getting into Boards in Australia, What Women Want to Develop Leadership and currently Leadership of the Australian Liberal Party and Leadership in the Media.   Diann's evidence based views on women's leadership have been featured in the Australian Financial Review and in a number of publications from women's and business groups.   Diann had contributed to the review of the Equal Employment for Women in the Workplace Act and Agency review as well as on the issue of Quotas for women in board positions.

Diann’s PhD in 2009 led to the development of a co-existential leadership model for workplaces for men and women. In November 2009 Diann received The World of Difference 100 Award from The International Alliance for Women (TIAW) in Toronto, Canada.

Diann is an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Institute of Business WellBeing (AIBWB) and currently lectures in the University of Wollongong.  She is an Executive Coach and Mentor for women and men aspiring to be leaders. She is also an Environmental Champion of the University of Wollongong.
