It is a testament to the high calibre of the applicants that a new category of 'Highly Commended' was put in place  to recognise one of the candidates whose outstanding efforts over a considerable period of time, eleven years, deserves acknowledgement.

CLW and the Panel of Judges congratulates all the recipients of the Award who are recognised as Self-appointed leaders for their community leadership. The recipients were selected from a diverse group of women, all of whom are to be commended for defining a vision that addressed a specific community need and for galvanising enthusiasm with their collaborators to achieve notable outcomes.

I would like to sincerely thank ANZ, Australia Post and Avril Henry Pty Ltd for their Gold sponsorship of this prestigious Award for women.
